Gossip is often a sure fire way to damage a relationship
When you talk about someone behind their back by giving bad news or criticism of others, create negativity in this relationship. Most gossip comes from fear, anger or jealousy and the perpetrator is often seeking confirmation of their views as they gossip. They want others contract and validation. They want to hear other people agree with their dissatisfaction and they add to the gossip.
The negative effects of gossip is pretty well known. We all know that it can damage reputation and cause much damage, but it does not stop us to do. This is partly because gossip is so easy to do and provides an immediate, but temporary gratification gossip. It reduces anger they can not but express the person they're talking about. Chattering is cowardly way to anger and it is also a sign that gossip really is not enough time in their lives! What better way to entertain ourselves than to gossip about others! But these tactics are often counterproductive, especially when the gossip comes back to the person gossiped about in the first place.
